The Daily Mail features Julia Suzuki and David Lloyd

Gym king Lloyd and the next J.K.

For six years, Julia Suzuki has been business partner to tennis ace turned gym entrepreneur David Lloyd, helping to run his burgeoning property and overseas resorts empire.

And now the 37-year-old single mother is about to achieve a long-cherished ambition to strike out on her own — by writing a children’s book.

Aimed at eight to 14-year-olds, Yoshiko And The Gift Of Charms — set in a mythical world of dragons — will be launched at the London Book Fair in April.

‘I wanted to write it for my nine-year-old son Elliot and it just took off,’ says Julia. ‘One of the themes of the book is that everyone has a secret gift or talent within them, and I believe I’ve found mine as an author’.

Ex-Wimbledon star Lloyd says: ‘I’ve had a sneak preview of the book, and it’s fantastic. My only fear is that if Julia becomes the next J. K. Rowling, she won’t want to work with me anymore!’
